An easy hike past the roaring Trefflingfall - possibly the most impressive waterfall of the Ötscher-Tormäuer Nature Park.
Description
More than 110 years ago, the Scheibbs Mountain Association built one of Lower Austria's most beautiful waterfall trails. Today, every hiker can walk the highest fall of the country. The Trefflingbach plunges here in several cascades 120 meters deep into the Erlauf - a unique experience is guaranteed at the beginning of a beautiful family hike.
But the route has much more to offer: The Toreck, a striking 100 meter long gorge and the narrowest point of the Erlauf in the Tormäuer. A romantic gorge forest along the river. Remarkable bridge constructions. The Devil's Church, a rock needle hollowed out at the bottom with a legendary past. A woodcutter museum in Trübenbach and a geological educational path once laid out by Alexander Tollmann along the panoramic road.
